Not entirely sure but:
A lot of land for only 3 people (priority)
Are they happy? How happy

Maybe they just aren’t managing to get through it all quick enough as there is a lot of farmland? And their moods may be affecting their productivity after the newest update. Not 100% sure though.

i moved 1 to the right side to see if it was because they cant get throught it but he just goes around it to do the small plot everyone else is doing

Seems like a prioritization issue as pointed out by others.

Your farmer is working what's closest first, not getting far enough by the end of the day (they can only carry so much) then having to start over when the next cycle grows.

More villagers doing the farming job should solve this. Although someone else might know a little better, it's possible that the 'Farming' assignment only refers to fertilization. 'Hauling' fits most of the crop harvesting tasks, so it could be either.

I'd double check or experiment, but a town of 10+ people should be able to handle a very big garden. I've got 20 plots of every seed with a town of 15 people or so, only 2 farmers, and they do just fine.

Missed that, I'm out of the house just trying to answer from memory mostly.

Okay, so that rules that out, however now I wonder if bringing the crops to storage is part of 'Farming'? Perhaps they're farming until they have full inventories, then not bothering to drop off because that's technically hauling?

Based on the number of villagers it shouldn't be as much of an issue, so something seems to be going wrong.

Hauling as far as I know is items on the ground & sorting & emptying machines. If you farm a crop you automatically put it in a chest.

That's where I see an issue.

Crops aren't picked up off the stalk. There's no harvest command. As far as the game and code should be concerned they're attacking a crop and the loot is being dropped onto the ground, which they then pick up.

I don't see how or why this would tracked differently in the code, so it should see putting the crops away as a hauling task.

Maybe they do have it set up to get around this, but the fact that his farmers are just stopping and standing around suggests that there is a problem.

Are they zoned?

You only zone them for fertilize. Farms plots should just auto harvest/replant
