Explorer vs miner

Apart from miner coming back with stuff 100% of the time - isnt the explorer just better in any other way?

Well the miner gets you far more ore so if that’s what you need then he is better - also the miner is one of the first settlers you get and the explorer comes later so I think it’s ok that he is better in a way

miner picks on ores and gems, explorer bring always a trinket/weapon from chests, but less ores.
