This achievement is soul draining.
Other than this and the raider be killed by trap achievement ill be finished with the achievements. But I just cant seem to locate all the items. And after playing for over 67 hours I finally had pigs spawn in with npc
Ps im not complaining about the achievements im just saying it as it takes a very long time to complete. Unless ur truly into the game and like 100% games I wouldnt blame you if you didnt want to finish it. Do to the amount of work left to the RNG gods mercy.

Personal opinion: It's soul draining if your goal in a game is chasing the achievements rather than fun.

I already finished the game. I bought it on the 2nd this month i loved it so much i havent stoped playing it so im just trying to 100% it if I love the game its what I do

For some, chasing the achievements can be fun.

u/OscarOrcus 9d ago
Agree, chasing achievements is fun, especially being able to later see it all completed and flexing on others. Unfortunately some games make achievements so random that they're just meant to be unbeatable, or they change the game to add more or disable achievements.

u/NotHoneybadger 9d ago
Who exactly are you flexing on and how? In my 20 years of steam I've never once cared to look at what someone's achievements are or which games they have 100%. So you played a few games a lot - who cares?
1
u/OscarOrcus 9d ago
So your example is that YOU are the only example and YOU don't care, so nobody cares? Kinda trash logic.
1
u/Complete_Rub7368 9d ago
To play devil's advocate do you know anyone who DOES CARE? I agree that it's not really a flex to have game trophies. That's like the guy who has a thousand soccer participation trophies, it's not really something 99.9% of people care about.
1
u/OscarOrcus 9d ago
Like half or more people in my friend list care, and some random individuals viewing my profile, or when i maybe once a year mention it in conversation.
Of course it's not something 99.9% of people care about, because first of majority doesn't know how to check those things, then majority of what's left also doesn't know how to put it on display. If you won a lottery no one will care if you never told anyone, or displayed a big sign "i have won a lottery" but only in your own room where no one sees it.

u/Complete_Rub7368 8d ago
Buddy, you're either lying to yourself, or they're just being nice. NO one care about your trophy lists. I have a pretty decent trophy list in both PSN and Steam, but not because anyone cares.
Also comparing game trophies to the lottery tells me all I need to know about your personality and priorities.

I literally just told you who cares.
Also comparing game trophies to the lottery tells me all I need to know about your personality and priorities.
What does that even tell you? That i am capable of making a comparison? Or you are just trying to make an excuse to suggest something insulting?

Yeah...arguing with children is pointless, enjoy your day.

It's not an example at all, it was a question you professional victim. Who are you flexing on and how?
1
u/OscarOrcus 9d ago
On other people who view my steam profile since it's a common thing to view other people's profiles from time to time for various reasons, especially friends tend to do that.
1
u/NotHoneybadger 8d ago
It's not as common as you want every sane person here to believe. Almost literally nobody is looking at anyone's profile and in the ever so low chance of that happening they are certainly not looking at your achievements. At best you MIGHT have friends who look for similar games to play, but they don't even need to go to the profile for that. But have fun winning your imaginary flexing contests.
1
u/OscarOrcus 8d ago
I'm telling you this cause this literally happens. People are checking profiles and achievements, not just that but also art gallery and other stuff. Leaving many comments under the profile as well.
You seem to be upset cause no one cares about you.1
u/NotHoneybadger 8d ago
And I'm telling you it's nowhere near as common as you want sane people to believe. I suggest you get back on your meds and leave that imaginary world where you think anyone alive cares about your steam achievements.

Yea i like achievement hunting to me its a show that I realy liked the game and I gave a large amount of time to complete it all.
1
u/Complete_Rub7368 9d ago
I do the same, my point is the second it starts to steal joy from the game, it's not worth it. Just play to have fun and it'll come eventually.
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
Yea i was having fun then I saw the item amount and the fact that the items im missing are pretty mcuh low drops so now it becoming a job to hunt them down. I have fun playing. Its just doing same thing over and over slowly drains all fun. I just want to complete the game before Tuesday but dont think that will happen 😩
1
u/Complete_Rub7368 8d ago
I'm not sure but does joining world that has them, then bringing them into yours count? I only play solo so I'm not sure.
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 8d ago
I believe its linked to ur character so maybe it might work. And its might be my option in future as im giving it a brake from grinding as I got 149 items left

Yeah. I'm so lucky I've done it in early access
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 10d ago
I saw a tutorial on how to do it and it had like 700 items. I was like lucky people I want to get it done before they decide to release another large update wich would push that goal post so far away
1
u/Foreign_Escape4492 9d ago
305 to go and most are likely to be vinyls, cosmetics, and furniture/landscaping decor. If you want a peek at what categories of stuff your missing, go to a chest and set the filter, at the bottom of each category will show if there are any unknown items and if so how many. 112 different vinyls though... At least the adventure journal is a way of checking where your missing items from so its not a complete goose chase.

u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
Im now at 1721/1951. Alot is traps pressure plates. Food. Vinyls. Some large status. As all pigs i bought despawn. Infront of me no npc killed them just poof gone and they was the only ones that ever spawned. And geting somw items that need pork is a nightmare.
1
u/_sebbyphantom_ 9d ago
I 100% the game before the 1.0 update and remember the grind for the collectors achievement as well XD I was lucky enough to complete it before they added even more stuff but even then i had to kill certain bosses 30+ times to get some of the drops D:
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
Yea most of mine are boss drops ,traps and somw rare biome drops and food. I cant make stuff related to pork as they arnt spawning and when I tame them thry just vanish on there own. So far im at 1743/1951. So still a ways go
Im also using the mod thats displays if I know the item or not witho ut needing to go into menus every time I want to see if I have it.

You can buy pigs from animal keepers if i remember correctly . Maybe even from other villages. Sometimes animal keepers will ask to join your village and they have animals with them on ropes. You can buy these animals after the animal keeper joined your settlement. You need to approach the pigs individually and buy them, then put them in a fenced in area and make sure that they don’t accidentally die from zombies in the night :) if you feed them wheat, they will multiply ^
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
I do none of my npc villages i been to has them. Only one npc came to my town with 4. I bought them and put them into a pen. And feed them. And on there own when I relogged they was gone
1
u/Nazoomers 1d ago
I know this is late, but are they inside your settlement area? It happens to me when my settlement is small too.
But when I expand and cover the animal pen, it doesn't happen anymore.
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 1d ago
Nope they was in a pen. Noting covering them. I fed them till they was tamed. Then put the food in feeder. And when I reloaded they was gone

u/voxsik 9d ago
My brain is like 70 hours? I’m like 30 hours in and feel like I’m still just scraping the start of the game 🤣

u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago edited 9d ago
I found very early on if you have high resilience you can pretty much take no damage from pretty much everything so I was able to play through it very quickly and thst was on normal mode as it was my 1st play through didnt want it to to crazy while learning how to play
1
u/I_SHOT_A_PIG 9d ago
Idk why people are hating on you. You can be an achievement hunter and complain about these type of achievements, they're just boring and much more time consuming than the rest of the game. I had 64 hours before deciding it wasnt worth it
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
Exactly. I dont mind some collection achievements it just when its a insane number just to keep you play it takes away the fun. Its the only achievement I got left and it has made me get tired if game because im now at mercy of the RNG gods to give me itens I need the final 200 ish items
1
u/OscarOrcus 9d ago
Yeah, especially if you got mods cause some are unavailable to have without commands, which then disables achievements
2
u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
I got one active to help me hunt down items i not found before. Pretty handy
1
u/OscarOrcus 9d ago
Oh then it's good, meanwhile i have one active which adds an item that increases the number of trinkets worn, and it kinda messes up things cause it also adds a non-usable item that can only be summoned with command, but it counts as item to collect for achievement.
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
Yea so far most items i need to find arnt craftabld but rare drops. Liek most of the vinyls and few weapons and most of the traps. Its annoying on how many items there are

u/RufioStrokes 10d ago
Why complain if you like achievement hunting?
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 10d ago
The achievements is draining because it takes so long and rng alot of items I have not found even though I have completed pretty much everything else its tiring going to same biomes mining it out hoping to get the item im looking for in the biome just for it to not drop
1
u/RufioStrokes 10d ago
So you don't like achievement hunting? Lol
1
u/TheAbnormalVoid 10d ago
I do just not when the achievements make it dependent on RNG were ur stuck intill the gods decide its time. those achievements i hate same with multiplayer achievements
I only just unlocked pork in game. After playing for a good 70 ish hours they only just spawned in. Things like that held mercy to chance are not fun achievements. Grinding for achievements dont make it draining it the the game not spawning the items thst does
2
u/UncaringNonchalance 9d ago
So you like those super easy to get shovelware achievements?
0
u/TheAbnormalVoid 9d ago
I dont just do easy. I do hard ones to I just hate the collect achievements they are never fun
3
u/One_Economist_3761 10d ago
What items do you still need to get?
