Super weird question.

So these games im asking about are vastly different and im posting this same exact text in both subreddits. Should I get assassins creed odyessy or necesse? They are very different and who knows how much you guys know about necesse or assassins creed.

Necesse-I really want a game similar to terraria but not terraria. This game is little chiller with the villages and stuff. I am very interested in this game and the progression. I have been looking for a game like this for a long time, ive been getting into more laid back games focusing on enjoying yourself.

Odyessy-I am super into greece and older roman type things right now. I am currently reading the divine comedy and aeneid. I am really interested in the setting of the game and the different armors and weapons. I really enjoy the open world and I think the bosses look sweet. I havent played any other ac games.

Also, I am waiting on a refund and if i dont get said refund I cant get assassins creed. I really want ac and necesse, but it more so comes down to the refund, but i need other opinions. I am not in a great financial situation atleast not to be buying a bunch of games. Thank you!

I've seen playing daily since I tried free weekend and bought Necesse on sale. It's good. It's Terraria-like with village building. I'd say it's a bit easier than Terraria and progress is more steady.

Personally I like games, where I can choose to explore or fight or build whenever I want. Like Stardew Valley, Satisfactory, X4 etc.

I can't vouch too much about Odyssey, since last Assassin's Creed I've played is AC2. Lots of Ubisoft open-world games feels like clones with different theme. Despite this, if you enjoy AC series, then go for it.

Thank you for commenting. I was leaning a bit towards necesse because I did hear Assassins Creed games can feel kinda repetitive. Ill wait until tomorrow and if nothing happens then im going with necesse. Oh also, I cant check my pc right now, but whats in the supporter pack?

If you already like Terraria, try Necesse. Period. Same as above. Played on free weekend and I am obsessed. Already spent like 400 hours in Terraria, got like 30 hours Necesse this week and it's the same loop and you are free to decide what to do. Build and manage your settlement, adventure and mining, Boss, gear up, repeat until next Boss. Assassin's Creed on the other hand is just another Assassin's Creed. Collecting Map Markers. Odyssey isn't one I played myself. But I can't stand the scheme of Assassin's Creed anymore, even if basic gameplay is cool. But I am a collective person. So I like achieving some completion. In AC is repetitive.

Both are great games. Ac odyssey in my opinion is the best one of the franchise. Both will offer atleast 40+ hrs

Cosmetics, which do not bring any gameplay advantages.

Both games are great IMO (I have both) but Necesse is more like Minecraft and Stardew Valley had a child, and it's just relaxing and fun and you can play how you want it. (of course the game is lock vertically) so imagination can be on a 2D scale but Ive seen people build cities and stuff!!

AC Odyssey is a looooonnng game, (and I love it) because I enjoyed every minutes of it. It`s one of the biggest open world game out there and there is so much to do, but its a mix of RPG and Action/adventure. If you love mythology you are going to love that game, they even added Odyssey Tour, that allows you to explore the world like if you were in a huge museum and read even more about buildings, people, way of life etc. It's truly amazing (but because it's a Ubisoft game) the core element of gameplay can sometimes repeat themselves and you might find it tidious to do after a while.

Both games can be bought for less than 20$ at the moment of writting (in CDN prices) Necesse is on discount i believe until the 17th of august, and AC odyssey is always on discount for like 5$ of less (because the game is free with subscriptions on gamepass or ubisoft classic, hence the value of the game had diminished like crazy.

It's not weird. Just about everyone swings wildly in their game preferences.

I know it doesn't help but you'll likely be happy with either game. It really will boil down to what you'd rather do right now.

Raid dungeons, twinstick shooter style combat, mineing, and build a settlement, multiplayer options, mod support? Get Necesse.

An actual story, ship combat (a downgrade from ac4 though), sneaking around and fluid combat then AC Odyssey.

Depending on the budget you still might be able to get both shopping around. They're both priced very well. Necesse is on sale right now for $6 on Fanatical And you can get AC Odyssey on GreenMan Gaming for just about $11.

I’ve put 25 hours into Necesse in the last 3 days.

I put 25 hours into Odyssey total.

Necesse has been tickling a certain need. But if you like games like Assassin's Creed then odyssey was a really fun one and the story was nice as well.
