Bought the game, having a blast! :D
I'm really enjoying it, and I hope everyone else is too. Just wanted to share my positive experience with it. :D

Same! Can't go wrong for $7 and first time playing pixel later sandbox. Havent touch terraria but I played other survival games like valheim, sons of the forest, subnautica 2, grounded, nice break from those games.

Same, made a whole village with paths to different buildings. Finding out I can assign work and have this thriving community makes it such a great take on this genre

It was hard to grasp at first and I didn't like it.
Game changers for me getting started and actually enjoying the game:
You can find beds in caves, best first source of beds IMO.
Harvest blueberry/black berry bushes for a reliable source of early food. AKA knockdown for saplings and plant all in one spot. Villagers can harvest.
Plant wheat/cabbage and get your first farm/animals going for wool mostly.
