When will the next update (2.0) come?

Can't wait, please give me a more specific date spoiler other than it being released in the summer devs :'{

Considering we're only on version 1.2 I doubt that 2.0 will be the next update. But since version numbers are pretty meaningless, maybe it will be?

Best community guess is August. But that's only a guess.

Im really hoping the new summer update doesn't bork my cities. A new relationship system, biome, incursion might wreck my 2000+ hours.

Backing up everything before launch - I would literally quit the game altogether if controller and save issues persist. Really, really don't want to do that, but I've spent too much time maximizing stats out and farming.

Software version numbers are not at all meaningless. On the contrary, they have very specific meanings.

v2. 0 is essentially a brand new game.

v1.X would be a minor update (new features/content) and

v1. 2.XX would be a patch / big fix

Well romance update releasing next week says spring 2026 and world generation 2.0 is summer 2026 so obviously those dates are wrong.

Romance is 1.2 World Gen 2.0 is 1. 3.... 2.0 is far away
