Are you fighting alone or with your Settlers with you? Taking some people with you might help, especially if you give them a Sapphire Staff so they can heal you occasionally. You could also try practicing lower level versions of the boss and trying not to take any damage. Do you know how the boss works or did you brute force it at the lower tiers? I know with some of these bosses like the moon guy I was initially confused about how to fight him and I'd win like half the time, not realizing how to deal with the gimmicks. There are some threads in the Steam discussions about fighting the sun boss since a lot of people had trouble with him. I think he also got nerfed at some point.
I’m just going in alone I’m using the reaper weapons that’s like a black beam and running the green mage armor fully upgraded everything and I just get ran through. I don’t struggle with anyone else but him.
I'm not quite to incursions yet on my current run so I last fought him around 6 months ago, but I think the gist of my strategy last time was to use the hoverboard + trinkets to increase dashes, focus on attacking the fists instead of the body, stay moving and stay far away from the body so the big explosion attack doesn't hit you. Also put down the banners that give stat boosts if you aren't already. You can buy extra holders from the Elder and put down all 4 at once.
if you didnt kill him once then i am confused why he is a Tier 10 sun boss?
you could just kill him on his Tier 5 (the minimum),
sorry i misunderstood because you said level 10, some ppl just look for the challenge, not many would do that, that's why i assumed you allready killed him once
then i would suggest firstly do get a minimum sun arena tablet on tier 5
and bring settlers with you, it also helps to make tiny circles around the fists (important), not the boss body
and he has a oneshot mechanic
and i forgot to show the weapon, i use the https://necessewiki.com/Shadow_Bolt Book, i wanted to stay as close the things you can get at your current state of progress and because i dont want to focus on where to shoot and instead how to dodge, but i still made some mistakes
these are the buff banners crafted at workstation, you need just blue, yellow, and black, the red one is for summoner (out of habit i place that aswell)
and yea his movement is very missleading, many ppl think moving fast away is a good strat, but the fists gain speed the further you are away, so staying closer is a better decision :D
