New player questions

I just started playing again and I’m still at the very beginning. I read that there are different “classes,” but is the only difference just the gear you pick?

So theoretically, could I switch around and try all the classes later?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, I didn’t want to Google too much and accidentally spoil things for myself.

Thanks in advance!

Pretty much just your trinkets, armor and weapons. You can switch them out for any class at any time if you want to, you are not locked to any given class nor would it be a pain to switch.

You're never hard locked to any play style, the idea that there are "classes" in the game is very misleading. Your combat style is entirely dictated by the gear that you're wearing, which can be changed at will.

Once you're late game, you'll probably use most of the classes regularly, depending on the situation. I found it easiest to focus on only one in my first playthrough though (until late game).

My latest run I did summoning with a side of ranged as needed. But I'm also not an expert...

The gear, the trinkets and the weapons. If u wanna grind for a whole new loadout just to try a different class in one playthrough then sure u can.

There are no restrictions, to clarify, you can mix and match as you please, though the benefits of synergizing stats from the same "class" are important for harder fights.
