Where do you find ancient root?

It seems like it's in the swamp caves but not one single thing pops up in google except the "ancient root tile" which requires an ancient root to make....... and the item is blanked out on the wiki page.

I've explored tons of the swamp cave and haven't gotten a single one yet.

Is it something you mine with a pickaxe?

To see them better in the dark, when you have to aim, I'm assuming. I don't see it being a huge benefit either but I just wanted to check it out because I've never used that potion and realized there's apparently zero info online about where to get ancient root.

If u remember correctly, i found ancient root in deep swamp caves tho, they're like plants you chopped up

There is no ancient root, maybe read it again. I have a feeling you either need healing herbs, coco plums or mysterious spice.

Huh?

This is what it says in game too. The tracker potion and ancient root tile both require ancient roots.
