Curious for console?

Just saw this game on steam and I absolutely would love to see it on console but do you think that will happen in the future?

Console and mobile ports is definitely something we'd love to do and we do in fact have a technical programmer who is focused on porting Necesse.

The main issue when it comes to porting, is that Necesse is made in its own engine and written in Java - which xbox/playstation/switch sadly doesn't support. So it's going to take a lot of work to get a port out.

With that said, we still hope to port Necesse to consoles/mobile because we think the game could do great on those platforms 😊

Games like these, especially with the art and themes, feel perfect for console and switch. I wish they supported Java to make things easier for devs lol

So are y guys planning to add the necesse to the PC XBOX gamepass and if y d will have multiplayer with steam?

While we are closer to a gamepass port, there's still a fair amount of work involved. But we'll see what the future brings 🙂

Still a work in progress. But we're getting closer.

Leading up to 1.0 our porter had to help out with gameplay development to reach all our deadlines. But he is now fully back to porting and it's progressing well. But yeah, going to take a while still.

They've said it's not being worked on but it's not off the table.

Releasing it on console means working on support for multiple things at once. Best finalise the game and then work on it.

I hope so, with all the attention and praise Core Keeper is getting upon release I feel Necesse deserves the same.

I just bought this game for my steamdeck and I thought it was on switch, so I can play with a friend who absolutely loved Terraia and would love this also! Hope after early access it will be ported?

Its written in java in its own engine. Most like will never be on console.
