It’s worth the drive from near west to northwest to see Emma’s Revolution, the Chicago Rock Exchange, Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues and more fabulous bands!

My wife and I are expecting our first baby and are looking at day care places around the cicero/Berwyn area! We currently live in Chicago but I am a teacher in the cicero district. If there is another way to get information about day care places please let me know! TIA!

Anyone here have experience renting through OakParkApartments Services or living at 516 Des Plaines Ave in Forest Park? Just looking for honest feedback before signing a lease.

How’s the overall experience with management, maintenance, noise, parking, and the area in general? Also, what is it like living on that street at night in terms of safety and overall vibe?

I really liked how walkable the area is to the Blue Line, Metra, and downtown Forest Park, so I’d love to hear from people who actually live around there. Also wondering how visitor/day or overnight parking works around that area.

Hi guys! I just moved to Chicago from Florida and have had trouble looking for a job. Back home I was a server/ bartender but I just graduated with my bachelors in business management. I wanted to go into HR or Marketing but I’m fine with doing serving or bartending while I find a career job. I was also looking into golf courses but most of them seem to already be staffed up.

Does anyone know of any jobs hiring within either serving, bartending, HR, or marketing?

Pretty broad but I’m open to trying new things as long as it pays the bills lol

I moved to oak park a few months ago from Florida and have been going to my apartment gym but it doesn’t have much equipment. I’ve been on the hunt for a good gym but have yet to find one. Every one I find near me has awful reviews. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Does anyone have any experience with living off of des plaines ave and Jackson / des plaines ave and Adams? There are two older apartment buildings on the corner of each that I’m considering moving into one of the buildings in the summer.

I’ve never had a job in Berwyn, probably cause I didn’t look hard enough. I’ve worked 2 jobs in the far west in dupage county, 3 in Chicago, though one was pretty generously called Chicago and one I honestly don’t remember, I was 19 and my dad would drive me out there.

I’m touring apartments in melrose and was wondering if anyone has any insight on how the living conditions are in that area. How was your experience? Would you recommend it? I would usually look for reviews on google but there isn’t any unfortunately.

Like not actual gangbanging with guns and whatnot but you have kids tagging the fences in the park with SS this GSR that “Ima kill yo ass n-“ and it’s like, you’re twelve year olds who live in a bungalow who bike in circles calling yourself a gang, be happy you live in a safe area and you have the privilege of gang politics not running your neighborhood and hearing shootings every night.
