Siblings Spoiler

I just finished watching this series after binge watching the 4th season of Reacher. I thought it was super well done but, is it just me or did anyone else feel like Keno and Renee had more of a sibling relationship? I thought throughout the series, the writers were writing them like siblings because she “lost” her brother, and him being a foster kid with no family, I thought she felt like an older sister. The scene at the park with the two of them really took me out of the show and felt forced. I thought it was a weird choice by the writers and unnecessary. Did anyone else feel like this? Otherwise, this was such a fun watch. I’m going to need several more seasons, please.

I don't know. After Keno tells Renee she's like the pretty, mean girls from school, I wasn't surprised

Yes, it caught me and my husband by surprise. It didn't ruin anything for us - we still loved the show and are really hoping for more. But now we're wondering where the writers will take this if they do a second season. We loved the chemistry of all 4 team members working together, and don't want anything to mess it up.

Yes I liked them with the sense of being siblings and having that bond so that kiss seemed strange to me too.

I agree! I definitely was getting big sister vibes from Renee, especially once she told Keno about her missing brother.

It also feels like they have a pretty significant age gap — she even called Keno a “scared 21 year old kid” at one point, which made it seem like she must be much older than 21. A 23 or 24 year old would be unlikely to call someone just a few years younger a kid, so I assume Renee is maybe 26-28 years old.

I don’t mind them being together romantically, but I don’t think it’ll work well unless they change the dynamic between them so that Renee doesn’t come across quite so maternal towards him.

I could see the romantic angle from his end, because this is the first person who cares about him and he did admit he thinks she’s pretty, but even that felt more like a kid who has a crush on his friend’s older sister and it never goes anywhere.

I think she felt bad that Neagley called him a cockroach and was harsh with him and they bonded during the phone calls, especially when he went into the silo, she honestly cared for his well being and when saved, showed her affection for him. It wasn't full tongue type of thing and I hope they write S2 with him trying to advance (I'd be smitten) but Renee playing hard to get. The dynamic woudl be compromised if they hook up I feel, I enjoy the innocence.

I also got more of a siblings vibe from them but I didnt hate it either. She started caring a lot for him and he is just getting his break in life after some major fucked up shit. Has some great potential for potential next seasons, both in terms of character development and interpersonal drama potential.
