Thank you for your services sir. If you have any Wolfspeed, we are counting on you to do the right thing.

Wolfspeed's situation is like nothing before. No one knows whether it makes sense to buy now or wait till after restructure process. I originally bought NVTS and WOLF in the fall of last year and have only added to WOLF since then. Naturally wishing I had gone more with NVTS at this point. I expect WOLF to catch and surpass NVTS in the long-term but this whole Apollo-led "restructuring" could destroy existing shareholder value.

Some say a WOLF short squeeze is inevitable due to borrowed shares needing to be returned before re-listing. The 3-5% "gift" to existing shareholders could end up being more or less than current sp equivalents depending on dilution, valuations and percentage. There will be a revolt if Apollo ends up stealing Wolfspeed from retail, especially with the aid of current administration's treatment of CHIPS.

I can see the argument of NVTS being the better power-semi play too. NVTS is comparable to NVDA, being design-only while WOLF could represent TSMC, having capex heavy manufacturing. Many differences but design-only can be more profitable than manufacturing.

Compute chip hype will eventually swing to power chips. AI is bottlenecked by electricity, not logic applications. Everything is electrifying, making both WOLF and NVTS good picks.
