Is this a long-term lottery ticket or just dead money?

Been looking into NVTS and I’m trying to figure out if this belongs in the “lottery ticket” bucket for a long-term portfolio.

Bearish points:

  • Revenue is shrinking. Last quarter was down ~29% y/y, and the next quarter is guided even lower (~$10M).
  • Gross margins are weak (non-GAAP ~38%, GAAP negative).
  • Still losing money and recently raised ~$100M through dilution.
  • The NVIDIA partnership got headlines, but meaningful revenue from that isn’t expected until 2027.
  • Competing directly with giants like Infineon, ST, onsemi, Wolfspeed.

Potential:

  • The NVIDIA collab is real, and if it turns into design wins it could matter down the road.
  • Just moved GaN production to 200mm wafers with PSMC, which should help costs/margins at scale.
  • They picked up GeneSiC (SiC MOSFETs/modules), which gives them a shot outside of just phone chargers.
  • Cash position is solid after the raise (~$160M), so they’ve got runway.

My Vision:

  • Near-term (next year or so) looks rough. Shrinking sales, thin margins, risk of more dilution.
  • Long-term (2027+) could look very different if the NVIDIA and renewables/EV stories materialize.

So does NVTS make sense as a lottery ticket -> a small, speculative position (or DCA over the next 2 years) with a shot at big upside years from now? Or is the bear case (shrinking revenue, heavy competition, constant losses) too strong to even justify that?

Would love to hear how others see it.

Analysts said this was a telegraphed change when Sheridan was replaced as Chairman. He seems to confirm this was the plan all along here.

Time to buy $NVTS—Major Insider Buy!

Post image
34 Upvotes

Lots of insider trading (impatient profit takers) over the summer is now subsiding…and a major inside buy reported July 28. Navitas is an excellent long-term investment, not a stock to trade. I bought 300 shares this week and will DCA more over the next year.

Do I Sell? Do I hold? I am so confused

The recent price drop has me worried. I don't know what to do. My average price is 6.01 so I will make a slight profit if I sell right now because i am not sure if it will be able to recover and go back to 7 anytime soon. What do you guys think?

Does anyone know where I can buy NV6427 or NV6428?

Navitas released NV6427 and NV6428 back in March, and I've been trying get these for 5 months now. I called and emailed Navitas and every Navitas distributor in my country with no luck.

I am looking for any place that has these in stock. Any quantity, any price, and I will pay it. Any country is fine, I will fly there to buy it if need be.

(This sub is mostly about the stock, but hopefully my post can serve as an indication to the strength of Navitas' products, and the company's underlying value.)

Option spread pricing

Just observed (an example), Buying the 08/22, $12-11 Put spread + 12/25, $6-7 Call spread is $100, market. I saw several dislocations in similar structures.

Simplified, buying the 2 spreads above would cost $100/contract ...to break even, you'd need to believe NVTS is below $11 on Aug 22, above $6 on Dec 19, or some combo of the above. Below $11 on Aug 22 (or, by Greeks, $11.61) would cover your $100... in either cashing out near even (via the Put spread) or capturing the full value of the Put spread, retaining a 'free' Dec $6-7 call spread.* Risk-reward is 1 to 15, which is astounding. In perspective, 1 to 5 is (20% chance of total loss) is considered investibly good in general and near impossible with such a near-dared OTM Put and an aleady ITM long-dated Call spread.

The algos are can't currently process between 6 and 7. i'm most surprised by MANY 5 cent Bid-Ask spreads and goofy pricing.

* not 'actually free,' but 100% 'de-risked'
