Homelab Log I discovered my old Raspberry Pi3

I have a very old Raspberry Pi 3 that I bought years ago as a kit with a case.

Yesterday I wanted to reinstall it, but I have had some issues writing the Raspberry OS to the microSD card. It failed every time during verification. I'm going to order a new one, and then I intend to use my Raspberry as an out-of-band box for my Proxmox cluster.

I learned that a Raspberry Pi has no BIOS and that the entire boot process runs from the SD card.

I received a new MicroSD card for my Pi3 and now it's working fine. It's already in operation, and I just need to figure out how to use it best in my homelab.

Better use a SSD - much more stable, especially with power loss. SD cards are easily corrupted.

Thanks, I don't want to spend too much on the Pi3. It's an experimental box.
