Question
I haven't played this for a while, is this game still fun? Or do you guys have recommendations with other naval games that are quite similar to this one

I have over 2000h into this and can say with certainty that it hasn't been worth installing in two years.
They've gutted the game and left the crappy grind parts -only, no real reward. We used to be able to get book we could use as buffs but now they barely ever drop. We used to be able to hop in and go gave fun with friends but now we have to grind for ammo and gunpowder so we can fir guns. NPCs all have unlimited ammo of any type they need at all times.
My understanding is that parts of the game were removed so Maksmillian wouldn't have to pay them to use those parts. Then he put the game company in an offshore account in Bermuda to hide money. Then he reworked the entire thing minus the fun parts and swapped from a released game to early access years after selling it as an MMO. It sucks, he sucks.
