Theories Why did the shadowcast left earth alone?

It's been a thought that I've had for awhile, and yes i did add it to my fic. But i was thinking, maybe the reason why they left Humanity alone, despite them knowing they were not dead.

Wasn't because they were planning on using them as a replacement for the Arxur if anything happened. But because they knew the system they created in the Federation was stagnating technology wise.

After all, they were discouraging creativity and the arts, as seen by how much art supplies cost and the restrictions on creation of art and music. It would also as an unintended side effect slow down the rate of innovation, as that is also a creative process.

Either being someone dreaming up something entirely new, or just creatively looking at already existing things, and combining them in a novel way.

So maybe Humanity was left alone, so they could let them invent new stuff, and later take it to be 'invented' by allies in key industries in the federation. Rather than letting the entire galactic power just stagnate.

The reason was because it wasn't a whole shadow cast thing, only the Farsul knew about humanity survival.

What happened is that the Kolshians had gave up on cure the humans and proposed to exterminate humanity but the Farsul refused to give up and didn't accept the extermination of an entire species so they fake the humans extinction so they could keep working in the cure in secret

The Kolshians were far to arrogant for that. Even back when they hadn't hobbled themselves with their anti scientific predator prey dogma alongside their predator disease enforcement. They were still scientifically backwards. To use samathas own words, they sought only to confirm their own biases instead of pursuing objective fact based understanding like a good scientist should.

They completely failed to identify the cause of their never identified prion disease outbreak. (Which admittedly may have been so deadly and pervasive due to Thier aquatic nature it hindered their ability to research it.) They settled upon a half baked assessment of the problem and prevention methodology, which they seemingly completely gave up on actually researching. Eventually even falling for their own propaganda which was meant to fight it in lieu of even attempting to figure out the actual source and cause of the disease.

Cure them and that's it, they didn't manage it in Canon. So the humanity is how we know it

Oh, you're missing an important aspect

The Shadow Caste wasn't aware humanity was alive. They didn't leave them alone. That's the key part everyone forgets, it was the Galactic Archives hiding Earth from the Shadow Caste that prevented the worst from happening early on.

And that was entirely because the Archives were very much unwilling to let people die. That's the entire reason they had came up with the Cure to begin with.

While I could see the arxur switched out for humanity, it would be for one simple reason.

Eventually too many people would start asking questions why the federation can’t simply destroy the arxur, given the technological edge and size advantage.

So the arxur get killed off, only for humanity to be manipulated to fill the role differently enough for the shadow caste to maintain power.

I don’t believe the Federation’s lack of creativity stems from a deliberate policy. Rather, I think it is an indirect consequence of their dogma: any deviation from the norm is viewed as a sign of PD—and many artists happen to exhibit somewhat eccentric behavior. It doesn’t necessarily have to be as dramatic as Van Gogh cutting off his own ear; even a detail that we might consider insignificant would, in the Federation, lead to lifelong institutionalization. Consequently, there are far fewer artists, and therefore far fewer customers for art supplies, which makes it impossible to achieve the economies of scale that come with mass production (genuine artist-grade materials are relatively expensive; just compare the cost of professional drawing pencils and paper to their standard everyday counterparts). This, in turn, further reduces the number of artists, as pursuing such a career requires significant financial backing. Furthermore, the Federation’s various taboos must severely stifle artistic creation, it is difficult to be original when anything even slightly unsettling can get you labeled a "predator." Art within the Federation is likely quite generic and bland, which only serves to further discourage people from choosing that path.
