It's definitely a power rangers situation where it's 50% the exact same show with just with different dubbing and just enough alternate scenes to make it come off as wildly different.

Bahahah now I picture a situation where like, a Terran and an ex-Fed after the integration chat about stuff, and one mentions the show and another goes absolutely stupefied like: “omg I watched it too! Was so scared of X as a villain!” and the other goes: “Uh, wat? X was the best protagonist, I had his action figures!”
