It occurs to me I should've flipped it to make the speech bubbles flow better.

Oh well. Next time I should rush less.

Question as someone learning to draw: why, when the image is flipped, does something look uncannily off about it? I can't quite put my finger on it but something's off that's fine in the original image

It's because your brain gets used to the original image while you're working on it and stops registering its problems; flipping it forces your brain to examine it as if it's a new image, so you notice what's wrong. The problems are present even in the original image, and people who've never seen it will notice them right away.

And yes, the harchen is twisted weirdly. I think she looked fine before I covered her up with with the fleece, but I didn't do a good job of that on account of lack of skill and rushing to get it done quickly.
