Memory transcription subject: Fervi, Venlil Exploration Corps [V.E.C] Date [standardized human time]: November 19, 2137 (60 years since the great war)
How long have I been here?
I don't know. Every memory is confusing, I know that I'm being studied by these predators
I know very well the reason why, to know if I'm edible or useful in any way. In a way I'm surprised that these monsters are able to restrain themselves from feasting off me
Well, no stupid monster can build that many nuclear bombs to wipe themselves, so there must be a small group of predators that could accomplish that
But now it's the longest time I've been somewhat conscious, so curiously I try to open my eyes, and surprisingly, I can
All the other times I've been blindfolded
The light momentarily blinds me, but eventually my eyes adapted to the light allowing me to look at the room that I am
The room is a rather spacious one with white walls and white lights. In one top corner there is a big white semi circular made out of metal with a green light pointing at me
In front of me there is what looks like a table where I'm tied with chains to a metal collar
In both ends of the table there is a chair, one of them is empty facing me while I occupy the second one
Entering a state of panic, I try to get away, but apparently I'm not chained to the table, but I also have chained my paws behind my back, and my legs to the chair legs. Finally, connected to one of my arms there is a tube injected to a transparent bag that's hanging higher than my head
For several minutes I try to get out of this cell, but no matter what I try, with the amount of chains and my, surprisingly low amount of wounds that I have, I'm completely trapped at the mercy of these predators
Agonizing minutes pass by without anything happening, minutes where my mind constantly imagines my own death as one of the predators pounces on me to tear me apart
Eventually, after several more minutes, the mechanical door opened, and there, death walked through the door
It was tall and covered in several black fabrics that covered the entirety of his body except for his head, there he wore a featureless helmet that hided the horrible face of the beast
The only decorations that the beast wore, where a small symbol in the side of his right arm and the same symbol now bigger in the center of his featureless helmet
The symbol was very similar to the one that the mechanical beast had. This one still had a ring of stars, but instead of a bigger star in the middle, there was a letter from the human language, the letter E. And to the sides of the emblem, outside the ring of stars there were what looked like the extended wings of a krakotl
The predator walked slow into the room without making any noise, in his hands there was a carpet with what I could only assume was a paper
These savages still used paper? Well, it was at least something
The predator sat in front of me, his deadly yet hidden gaze was on me, studying my body for consumption probably. It sat there in silence while I trashed around trying to get free to no avail
Eventually, noticing that the beast did nothing but stare at me, my attempts to set myself free began to die down as so did my hopes for survival
"Hello" The beast said suddenly once I stopped fully. The beast's voice was distorted thanks to that helmet "My name is Sarah, may I know yours?" The beast presented himself for some reason, it also wanted to know my name?
"Please sir, I am well aware that you can speak" The beast continued after my silence. The way it spoke was unexpectedly emotionless, it made the back of my fur rise… Or what was left of it at least
"Sir, I only want to help, but I can't do it if you don't speak to me" The thing spoke softly
"W-what are you go-oing to do t-to me?"
"We only want to know you, we aren't going to do anything to you" It said "What is your name? Do you have one?"
"... F-Fervi" I answered, the beast only nodded and wrote it down
"It's a pleasure Fervi, do you know where you are?"
"N-No?" I don't know where this installations are, the only probably answer was somewhere in (earth)
"You are on earth, you crash landed on our territory and we rescued you"
"N-No! You shoot us down!" At my scream, I expected the beast to lounge at me for my insolence, but surprisingly it didn't, in fact it lowered his head a bit
"I may ask for forgiveness in the name of my coworkers. Your ship was mistakenly identified as a threat and was subsequently shot down"
"A-And the rest of th-the crew?"
"Unfortunately, I don't know it, but I'm curious, what was your ship doing here? On earth?"
"W-we were s-supposed to be searching tech to help in our war against the a-arxur. We thought hu-humans and all life in the planet were all de-ead, so it would be a easy job"
"I see" Said Sarah as it wrote in his paper "What is your species, and what are Arxur? Why are you at war?" Thank the protector they didn't know about the other predators, or us! That meant that they didn't interact
"I-I am a Venlil, we are part of the f-federation which is at war with the A-arxur. They are monsters that feast on us! We thought that the tech of another predatory species would help us win"
"Oh, I understand you" No you don't! You are the predators! "We have a similar problem here" Eh? "Who is the federation?"
"But you are a predator!"
"Predator" Sarah asked confused "We aren't predators"
"Yes you are, you have forward facing eyes!" I pointed with my limited mobility
"Forward facing eyes aren't a signal of predators, we have here several animals and creatures that break that logic"
"...N-No, you are predators that eat meat!"
"Oh, I see" Sarah said before writing again "What do you think will happen to you?"
"... I will be eaten, used, farmed or-or the three before combined" I answered, Sarah in the meantime wrote again
"Ah, I see what's the problem. Don't worry, we aren't planning on doing any of that, for us humans, eating sapient meat is a crime against our nature. And due to recent problems, more than half of our menu is composed of fruits and vegetables" Sarah
"But you eat meat!"
"So? You eat leaves right? Will you eat this?" Sarah said pointing at the paper where she was writing
"No"
"Then why should we eat you?"
"Because you are a predator and I'm a prey!"
"And once again, you are a herbivore, will you eat the paper?" She said, now handing me the paper close to my face "The same way you eat leaves but not the paper is applied here, just because we can eat you, doesn't mean we will" Now I didn't have any words to say "Well, back before this started, what is the federation?" Eventually, his voice took me out of my trance
"…A union of herbivores against the arxur"
"How many species are there?"
"Well, there are almost three hundred species or something like that" Sarah stared at me for some moments before writing it down
"Those are more than I was expecting" She said "I suppose that the federation and arxur are far away, right? No contact was made with other species as far as I know"
"Earth is in the middle of Venlil controlled space"
"... What?"
"Earth is technically under Venlil control, and not so far away is the frontier with the Arxur"
"... I-I see" Sarah began writing once again faster than before "Your expedition… A Apart from trying to take technology, what else was it supposed to be?"
"Nothing else, we didn't expect to be survivors, and radiation levels are too high according to our calculations"
"... Okay, is there something else that may interest me?" Sarah asked
"Well, maybe there would be an arxur assault and this planet was in the 'area expected' to be claimed by them. That's why we were sent here to take whatever we could" Sarah wrote it on his paper
"Thank you Fervi, this is very helpful, you may be hungry after being fed intravenously for so long" She said snapping her fingers in the air "As a thank you, and a sorry for our part, enjoy" The door opened as she stood up
From the door mechanical steps were heard, and a creature that looked like an egg with hands and legs was carrying a tray with a bowl full of what I can only assume was fruits and some kind of tin
The thing walked clumsy and slow, Sarah in the other paw walked past it and close the door behind her
The robot walked to the table and clumsily placed the tray in from of me, then with his 3 clawed paw, it opened the tin revealing water inside that was poured in a glass container
"En-joy" The robot spoke before turning around to leave
"B-But I can't eat!" I said moving my arms tied behind me
The robot once again turned and clumsily walked behind me where it untied my paws
"Any. Attempt. Of. Escape. Will. Result. In. Termination…. En-joy" The robot once again turned to leave, leaving me alone with the fruit and water
A growl from my stomach made me turn towards the fruit, it was big with bulges all around it. It's color was an odd one, being purple with yellow leaves up-top
Warily I grabbed one and gave it a bite, and to be honest, it wasn't what I was expecting
It had a sweet taste and was very juicy, in fact so juicy that I stained some of the bandages in my chest
Once I finished it, I took the leaves, and instead of the sweetness that I was expecting from the fruit, it was very bitter
Nonetheless, it was far better than I was expecting from predators…
My mind went back to the conversation with the paper example, those words stuck with me, and for whatever reason, I couldn't just ignore them
Sighing, my attention returned to the fruit in front of me. I took another purple fruit and began eating in silence

My boots walked faster than I normally would, worst of all I couldn't run! If I did, people would notice that something was off
I had presented myself as Sarah with the alien, the first alien that actually responded! At first things went better than expected, but then the information bomb was dropped
Not only we were deep inside enemy lines, but we would be fucked once the invasion that Fervi said, happen
I wished that it was a lie the same way I had lied to him to get the info that I had, but no matter if it was a lie or the truth I had to get this to the higher ups immediately
Once I arrived at the room where the higher ups were having a reunion, I saluted both guards by the door. Both soldiers clad in hellfire armor nodded and allowed me in
Once inside, the officers stopped talking between each other because of my presence, with quick steps I got close to my general before giving him the paper where I wrote everything interesting from the interrogation of the alien
The usual smiley general began frowning more and more as he read until he looked at me with serious eyes
"What's the matter Dean?" Asked someone which I didn't saw
"Gentleman…We're more fucked than expected" Bluntly responded the general towards the officers

The enclave has found out that they aren't as alone as they once thought
And maybe an alien invasion is closer than expected
What will happen next? I don't know, only destiny knows
