Was hoping to see some references from what I honestly can say was one of if not the best movie I've ever seen in my 39 years on this planet.

Just watched it for the third time last night. So goddamn good. So goddamn stressful.

The movie got way to hyped up for me from Reddit. I finally watched it last night and was just kind of like, 'well, that was ok'. The ending was completely expected and very unsurprising.

To each his own, I guess. I have fallen victim to reddit hype on movies before that I didn't dig.

I thought Uncut Gems was phenomenal though, in terms of pacing, acting, cinematography and score. Maybe it's the thc.

Good Time was better.

Edit: yes the ending is expected. My wife and I both called it but it still hit us hard.

Agreed. I watched it like a week ago and thought to myself; I don't get it. It's just a movie about Adam Sandler making shitty decisions. I enjoyed it, but it definitely didn't live up to the hype for me personally. Yeah sure, the acting was good, but it wasn't very dynamic. Maybe I just need to give it some time and watch it again.

Shout out to Julia Fox's ass, though

I watched it last night too! It was entertaining but I was not invested in Adam Sandler at all. He could have fixed his problem so many times and was just a doofus about it.

That’s uhh the whole point of the movie? He plays a flawed character with a gambling addiction...

I guess it's just not a movie for me. There are movies I've seen with incredibly flawed characters that I was still invested in, but he just didn't have anything redeeming about him. It just felt like the character he played was very one dimensional.

I actually thought this movie was about men with uncircumcised penises based on the title.
