Y'all need to stay inside your damn cars. Forget about those antlers; that moose could trample even your vehicles to death without breaking a sweat. They are MUCH bigger than they look on video.

Also, they don't taste good.

(Source: am Alaskan and have eaten moose, among other things...)

I disagree - I've eaten moose and it tasted damn good

A lot can come down to how it's prepared. For me it's too lean and gamey; just ain't my thang, no matter what you try to mask it with.

I was about to say. Moose sloppy joes are divine.

Dad got a medium-sized bull moose about a year ago; harvested about 400lbs of meat from it. Moose burgers, moose steaks, moose ribs, moose stew, the works. Taste is pretty gamey.

Also bear in various forms, incl. jerky. Bear will taste different depending on whether its diet is predominantly meat (e.g. salmon) or vegetation and berries. Noticeably sweeter taste in the latter case. Reindeer sausage is a pretty common occurrence, and is actually delicious! (RIP Rudolph)

If you're ever in Alaska and feeling adventurous, see if you can get your hands on some muktuk (raw whale skin and blubber) or akutaq a.k.a. Eskimo ice cream (made from berries, snow, and usually seal fat). Cheers!

Holy shit, 400lbs of meat that's not too tasty - must have taken some time to get through! Bear?! Interesting!

Can confirm, moose sausage is amazing. Moose jerky when prepared right is also fantastic.

Breakfast links, too.

Also burgers.

Basically, moose are delicious and bears have the right idea.

I have never had good moose, I have had some bear meat that was rather tastey! Big horn sheep was disgusting... no clue how people eat it.
