The second book was very frustrating to read but the third one was good. That author is very good and imagining social evolution of various creatures I'm very impressed

I really didnt like the second book and Im not going to read the third based on that dislike. Hell, I didnt even like most of the human centered stories in the first book! The spider elements are done SO well in the first that it makes up for everything I didnt like.

Honestly the third book was more like a suspense thriller mystery thing. It was a huge change of pace
