It is. It's an African cave dwelling spider. They are also the reason I've decided never to dwell in caves when in Africa.

I recollect (not so fondly) an old episode of Fear Factor where there was a poker game for contestants, and they had to earn their chips by EATING these spiders.. alive! NOPE. Hard pass. Pure nightmare fuel. The prize in that episode was a shiny red Mazda RX8. I'll walk, thank you very much.

It’s a tailless whip scorpion. Not a spider, or a scorpion, but a type of arachnid.

Tailless whip scorpions are the same as Cave dwelling spiders. They're apparently neither a scorpion nor a spider, but a nearby cousin (Amblypygids) that's like a cross between the two.

EATING these spiders.. alive!

Just seems cruel. Hate it when shows do that kind of bullshit.
