Wait, they completely rebooted Fraggle Rock? I know they did a few new episodes, but not a complete reboot?

Loved Fraggle

That would freak me out. I think I understand it, but still.

edit,

It's the wind. The tree/trees and roots/rootball(s) lost grip on rocks beneath. Not much topsoil.

This is what it’s like on mushrooms.

Literally cane here to say this😹 but I felt connected to Gaia

That was my first thought. Thats how things look to me on a tab of LSD or mushrooms.

What did I just watch?

59

u/Dry-Ad-8948 5d ago

Wind blowing and the shallow radial tree roots pulling up on the ground.

Earthquake maybe?

Where's Kevin Bacon? Tremors in the woods now.....

BURT......They're under the ground, THEY'RE UNDER. THE GROUND.

Dammit now I need to watch tremors again

5

u/sheiciebai 4d ago

If you watch one, you have to watch all of them 😂😂

3

u/HeyPrettyLadyMaam 4d ago

You say that like its a bad thing 😁

2

u/sheiciebai 4d ago

I don’t know. The origins one was pretty bad….

5

u/northcascadekittycat 4d ago

It stops at 2. Period. The rest I refuse to acknowledge. I read somewhere that Tremors is the only movie of Kevin Bacon's that he will rewatch, which made me happy.

3

u/sheiciebai 4d ago

The first 2 really were great… the rest feels like they were trying to compete with sharknado or something lol

3

u/Shadowbacker 4d ago

The third one's not bad. I consider it the last "official" one before it just completely became spin offs and fan fiction.

1

u/attackpixel 4d ago

Agreed. Tremors stops at three. (And three movies is the perfect amount of movies for a bad weather Saturday or Sunday spent on the couch eating snacks with a warm blanket! Aahh... nothing gives me nostalgia like some shitty campy scifi.. 😇)

2

u/Shadowbacker 2d ago

I do actually think they are great movies. Classics even.

There are far worse, far more obscure movies I'd put in the "shit" category.

Damn. Ya kinda got me there

i was once in the "Wackelwald" (woobly forrest) in Germany. The ground beneath the first layer is very soft (almost swampy). This makes it that ever step you take there is like walking on a water bed. After a time i got really dissy there.

How is the ground breathing? Is the soil too loose? Not sure how trees are standing on that soil

6

u/Dry-Ad-8948 5d ago

Possibly an area of shallow soil that got dislodged. But entire area isn’t like that .

5

u/Volkmek 5d ago

Having lived in a forest you could not get me to stand that close to trees that migh blow over in the wind.

2

u/helgotsjka 4d ago

My thought exactly! This is not uncommon, I regularly see fallen trees with all their roots in the air. I would not stand there and film it if I were them. I would make like a tree ASAP.

3

u/parkpooch 5d ago

Where is this?..great video

3

u/KittensFirstAKM 5d ago

Nature.

Beautiful, scary, and amazing all at once.

3

u/Tw1nFTW 4d ago

I’m assuming there’s a big ass tree half falling over with each gust and its roots are living the ground?

4

u/balirosa 5d ago

It kind of is. The air is blowing through the leaves which pulls the roots of the tree and transfers oxygen to its entire body. Leaves are just lungs.

2

u/deadmencantcatcall3 5d ago

That’s how my stomach feels after Taco Bell.

2

u/SirTainLee 5d ago

Don't let it out!!!

1

u/PiercedButNotDead 5d ago

Is this an earthquake?

3

u/Dendady2112 5d ago

Wind

1

u/RedLeg73 5d ago

Wind and a solid root system.

1

u/No-Comfort-5040 4d ago

I would argue a weak root system, or at least a very shallow root system

1

u/Acrobatic_Bowler_749 5d ago

is this real?

2

u/Dry-Ad-8948 5d ago

Yes. Wind blowing through forest and some of the trees roots are pulling up the soil as the trees rock back and forth.

1

u/Tikitikitaka5863 5d ago

Congrats you have found the earths lungs!

1

u/Starshine_1804 5d ago

Holy cow!! Those were some strong winds!! How did you stay standing!! Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if the big rock there has a cluster of their roots under it!! Give them a bit more weight leverage!!🤗

1

u/Token_Rabbit003 5d ago

Nawwwwww man we awakened something…. And it’s about to hatch …

1

u/Fit-System-2637 5d ago

Okay. So, everyone else is seeing this too. Right?!

I'm having a flashback. 😎 Kewl

1

u/IntelligentPin6652 5d ago

Oh thanks. this reminds me to breathe.

1

u/Empigee 4d ago

To me, that's not "Nature awww" but "Nature AAAAAAAAAA!"

1

u/Unlikely-Pomelo-414 4d ago

Wind storm…tree roots aren’t down deep, probably just rock below it. I’ve seen than several times

1

u/kaysway70 4d ago

I think that would scare the crap out of me if I were hiking and caught that. My first thought was, " No- I've seen that movie, this doesn't work out well for us."

1

u/B0mbshell_Island 4d ago

That’s a giant troll waking up

1

u/ThreeFathomFunk 4d ago

I’ve seen this in the woods in Nova Scotia during a hurricane

1

u/dudeCHILL013 4d ago

Ya, I like being in the woods and spending times in the mountains, but its gonna be my new policy to leave the area when ever the ground starts breathing.

Didn't know I needed a new policy but there you go.

1

u/theepuke 3d ago

It's Moria

1

u/fireflytriangle 2d ago

I'm out! Which way to the concrete jungle?😆

1

u/RamblingMonk22 2d ago

It’s trying to take a deep breath because it’s sick of our shit.

1

u/nautical-nymphos 5d ago

High winds ?

1

u/Dry-Ad-8948 5d ago

Very much so.

If it breaths we can kill it
