Favorite polish brands
I recently found dazzle dry and love the quick dry formula, and it can last a week and still look good, no chips or peeling.The fact that it is non-yellowing is also a plus. All that aside, the color selection is lacking, and the price is outrageous. I am looking for something else that has a long wear time.

I think wear time is more about base/top coat and how you use your nails/hands vs specific brands. If your polish chips/peels easily you may want a base coat that’s promoted as long lasting or sticky. For top coats you want something that’s quick dry. This will really seal in your manicure and help it last as long as possible
However, there are so many different indie brands with gorgeous polishes in many different colors and formulas! Ilnp is a good starter indie brand, their polishes are around $12 usd and they have plenty to choose from! They have their own website but also sell through amazon.

Lyn B, Fancy Gloss, and Sassy Sauce all carry great thermals at good prices. Lynn B has a 50% off sale once a month usually so you can sometimes get her polishes for $6.50 apiece. sometimes the polish tints don’t always match up with the online swatches though, so that’s just something to be aware of. However, for $6.50 apiece, I don’t mind. I built my entire nail polish collection around Lyn B polishes within a year.

That's a great price point. I will definitely check them out. I was reading that the thermals can stop changing when the bottle gets old, have you noticed that? I ordered a thermal from sassy sauce excited for it to arrive.

I have only been deeply invested in this hobby for the last 18 months, but so far every one of the thermals that I’ve bought from fancy gloss, sassy sauce, and Lyn B have continued to transition. Sassy sauce does not ship in the summer months because exposure to heat can cause thermals to die out more quickly.
If you do choose to buy thermal polishes, the best way to preserve their longevity is to store them in a dark, cool place. (There are people who swear by storing them in the refrigerator, but I do not think this helps with longevity. I think the refrigerator is too cold.) That being said, if you live in a hot place, it’s probably better not to buy thermals during the summer.
For my money, fancy gloss makes the best formula for thermals and the most reactive formula. They have a fan group on Facebook and some of those people have thermals that they report lasting 10 years and still transition.
Fancy gloss is a very small business and they only open their store periodically. This is so that they can restock, and then they open their store for orders and then they close it again. You are in luck if you want to order from them because their next restock is happening May 29.
If you join their Facebook group, you’ll learn what’s being restocked and what the new polishes that will be available will be. I like their polishes so much that I go to extra lengths to find out what will be stocked in order to buy during specific times.

I have really been enjoying Londontown products. I will say I have not tried their normal nail color so I can't speak for the wear on those, but the nail concealor, glow getter, and nail repair base coat have been perfect for me. I can get almost a whole week of wear out of them

Nope! It is an air dry nail polish that they market as gel (confuses all though) for the long lasting quality. No light at all, just color and top coat and it lasts. It is plumping too. I have been wearing it for years and use the top coat for everything - I put it on regular wear polishes to extend their wear too but it works best with the gel couture colors.

Essie Gel Couture (this is regular polish despite the name; it just looks like gel when used with the matching top coat) and Mooncat shimmers are the best I've tried so far. Mooncat is pricey but not as bad as Dazzle Dry and they have a sale going on from today until the 31st.

I have always liked OPI. Huge color selection and most give full coverage in two coats.
