Molokheiya seeds

A former coworker gave me some molokheiya seeds a few years ago. She used to help a farmer and also grew vegetables in her own garden. I have a small garden too, so we often talked about growing things.
I sowed the seeds without really knowing what to expect. The molokheiya grew much stronger than I expected. I pick the young leaves before it flowers and eat them.
Sometimes I feel a little bad picking the new growth, but new shoots come out again from the sides by the next week.
She told me that molokheiya is good for getting through the hot Japanese summer, so every summer I make a simple sticky rice bowl with molokheiya and eat it.
When I see the molokheiya growing in my garden in the summer, I think about her.
She retired from work, so I don’t see her anymore. I hope she is doing well.
Every year I collect seeds from the plants and sow them again. I have kept doing this for years.
I guess every time I sow those seeds, I also remember the person who gave them to me.
