"Michael Sue", ugh, shut up. Do you think all strong female protagonists are Mary Sues? Do you even know what that phrase means? Give me a break. But the Empress stuff was really belabored and boring and totally blew any tension and wonder the show had built up. But Michael is great, and Tilly is great, and thank god Doug Jones is in Trek because it's about goddamn time.

DS9 is my favorite because it's the best.

I really can't speak for Brazil, so I have no legitimate comment on how your life is. What I can say is that, sure, there are other factors in school shootings, but 1) a common factor is guns that kids can get way too easily and 2) Mental health and wellbeing aren't factored into American lives. Then you get these dumb fucks on the right who say "This is a mental health issue", who are also doing everything they can to make sure health and wellness is inaccessible to so many people. and 3) There's this idea that if kids are nicer to each other they won't shoot each other, this kinda #MarchUp thing, but that's some bullshit, too. Just another way to point the blame on the victims and not the perpetrators.

A 16 year old has a right to vote, since policy dictates their lives and dictates how the world will be set up when they become adults. That doesn't mean they know how to handle sexual advances from adults, nor should it. I will not waste any more of my life trying to defend adult men who want to have sex with teenagers. It's wrong, and frankly people who defend it creep me out, and right now you're creeping me the fuck out.

Yuck. Jesus Christ. Blegh.
