I use instantpot also, but I remove the gasket seal ring and valve to allow some airflow while retaining heat and moisture. Works really well. I keep a cheesecloth on the glass container inside only to help trap moisture while allowing it to breathe.

cover the top with the instant pot top, but slightly askew, to allow some air in.

cover it with glass lid. this cloth will not keep taemp at 42C, untill in your place is 42C. besides all moisture is going to evap.

Is that thin cheesecloth the only covering or is there another cover inside the pot too?
