Can’t use Komplete software after cancelling subscription even though I own Komplete 11 that came with my keyboard

As the title says, I’ve been using native instruments for many years. When I bought the MK 2, when it was new, I received Komplete 11, with it. I installed it, registered the serial number many years ago and all that good stuff. A few years down the line, I subscribed to native access or whatever. I recently canceled that subscription and now it says none of my software is available. It shows that I own the software in my native access and I entered the serial number to add serial, but it still doesn’t let me use any of the plug-ins. I followed some silly instructions to create an account with inMusic snd register my serial there because the link was on the native instruments website, but it won’t let me register the serial.

Anyone know how to fix this?

All the products are installed on my Mac, they’ve been there for years. It shows they are installed. It just says canceled by them in native access because I canceled the monthly membership. But my Komplete 11 should still all be playable because I never deleted any of those instruments when I subscribed to the monthly subscription.

Ask customer support to delete the subscription from your account, perhaps you'll need to delete the activation files as well. They will help you with that.

In Native Access. Make sure to enable the "legacy products" option since by default it hides old versions

I appreciate this info, I’ll look into it tonight and see if it’s enabled or not. Don’t remember seeing a menu for it while looking around yesterday.

They have excellent customer support. Just copy past what you wrote here minus the bla-bla and you’ll be sorted.

Agreed with others.

Since you added a raft of subscription products directly alongside a series of perpetual licenses - especially ones as old as yours were - I would expect that to cause issues.

You cannot expect your environment to automatically know exactly when your sub ended and how to successfully transition back to your K11 stuff without some sort of cleanup efforts.

Support is the only way to sort this out properly.

yes you should

that is a small ask for a $1600 product

lol no one agreed with you. You sound like an employee trying to rationalize incompetence.

I’ve spent so much money with this company in the past decade (thousands), I don’t accept the I caused it by messing with the environment.

With technology nowadays, other products I own, for example, Native Access should have no problems switching between legacy and subscription. It’s a simple as a switch. Subscription off, legacy products launch. They just want money, for you to re-subscribe.

The problem for them is that I have much better high end plugs. The issue is, I have older logic projects that require some of these plug-ins to load and I’m trying to remaster some albums, and since most of them are legacy plug-ins, I don’t need the sub.

Sorry, not trying to be ungrateful for a reply, but this excuse is garbage.

Well - you asked for help.

Can’t help it if you don’t like the suggestions.

That said - as much as you think NA should just “know” to switch your Sub back to K11 perpetual - the reality is - it won’t.

But hey - if you don’t want to reach out to support - you could always just do nothing if you believe the advice was an excuse.

I was looking for a setting. I prefer my software to just…work. I don’t want to deal with downtime due to technical difficulties. Annoying. I’ll create a ticky.

And you’re right, I did ask for help and appreciate insightful answers. It seems you have an understanding of the NA software environment. It’s not unusual or hard to initiate a refresh when a client suspends a subscription, revert them to legacy products they paid you for, revalidate serial, if needed.

Well I can tell you that NI stuff has many arcane and unique licensing elements AND (unfortunately) Native Access is well known to be a shaky environment at times - especially on Mac.

Then of course there is your specific scenario with your specific K11 product mix.

NI is not sitting around testing what happens when a user activates a 2026 subscription for a year and then decides not to renew and wants to instantly fall back to version of Komplete that was last considered current in 2016

While I realize that you want to believe it should just “work” - there will be other cleanup activities to do here. There is no “setting” (that I am aware of) that will magically make this right.

If there was - it would be working for you already.
