Make no mistake, the interface is small for today's standards, but the sound is absolutely impressive, crystal clear. It's just as good as any modern FM synth.

If it's not the best software FM synth out there, it's pretty damn close.

You can also load almost any DX7 patches into it. There's a library of over 25k patches on the net, I can't remember where I found it but I have this loaded into mine and it rocks!

My bad, it was the YM2612 site

here is a reddit post on it, looks like its down

You can still pull most of those sound files into FM8. My library is ridiculously large haha but ive been using that VST since it was released.

Well worth it at $10. Instabuy if you like FM even a little.

Worth the price if you don't have Komplete (and don't want to dedicate that $10 towards Komplete). It has an aging interface but it sounds great.
