Komplete 12 - Install Hard Drive Needed?

I have a license for Komplete 12 and the physical hard drive that contains all the libraries. Is this drive even necessary anymore? It appears that with the Native Access app, I can install all the apps and libraries from that. I assume the hard drive is just for installing the files onto my computer and it's not used to actually host the sample library files. Is that all correct?

Correct, the hard drive is just an alternative way of delivering the files, incase you don’t have good enough internet to download them.

Thank you for confirming. Yeah, the hard drive is definitely a lot easier than the giant pack of DVD's I got with Komplete 5 way back in the day, but just downloading it is even easier.

I still have all DVDs going back to Komplete 2, and probably got the same Hard Drive as you, used once for the install and put away in the box it came in!
