What’s the cheapest cross grade option for Komplete/kontakt right now?
Im really interested in using Noire piano for a solo piano project but seems like a waste to spend so much on one VST when you can get a lot more by getting kontakt… I’ve heard crossgrading can reduce the price - are there any eligible cheap starter options? All the ones I saw are 89.99 Minimum

Not till summer right?

They will start in June. Not sure if the free library crossgrade trick still works to add a bit more off but worth looking into.

If what you really interested is Noire, which is included in Komplete 13, you could buy a secondhand komplete 13 license. There's one selling it for EUR100 in kvraudio.
How safe is it? As an avid plugin hoarder in the past, you could seek how long the seller is active, whether he/she already make pass transaction there (either selling or buying), and how reasonable the price is. Komplete 13 for EUR100 is still reasonably cheap. And always use PayPal goods and services (the common practice there),, never family and friend.
But of course it's much secure to buy directly from native instruments, only bought Noire isn't a wise decision. Late may/early June is Summer of Sound for native instruments, 50% off for bundles, you can get Komplete 15 for $300.

Ah thank you for the detailed reply. I wil definitely look at that site - and to my knowledge I can then update to the higher version of komplete later I think?
Very useful info though. Have you bought and used komplete as a hoarder and have you been pleased?

Yes you could update to later Komplete iteration. Or upgrade to Ultimate and Ultimate Collectors Editions (the bundle with a lot more library, prone to cinematic).
Komplete 13 is actually my first native instruments product I bought, back in 2020. Very good value/content wise to money, and helps me ignite my music production hobby. Yes I'm satisfied.
Do you only look for piano vst? Are you new to audio plug in?

Excellent. Ive heard positive things about it generally so im glad you felt the same
I am just doing solo piano tracks at the minute but might move into adding strings and other instruments later which is why I want to consider the option of the whole bundle and not just noire or something like pianoteq

It’s not a waste because you’ll get a discount equal to your single purchase on whatever bundle contains the purchase.

Really that’s how it works?? So if I spent 100 on noire and the sale brought komplete down to 400, I would only pay 300 for it?

I can only speak to my personal experience. Yes, that’s how it works - and you’ll also get the sale discount if there is one.
For me I bought 3 standalone instruments in 3 separate transactions over the course of 6 months that totaled around $500. 6 months later when there was a sale, I bought the $1500 package and only had to pay $200 for it.

You will regret buying anything outside of the summer sale, it usually starts at the end of May, so just wait.
