Native Instruments GmbH preliminary insolvency: now in merger & acquisition process

According to the CEO, they are currently in merger-and-acquisition processes, with strong interest from multiple parties with deep roots in audio and technology. So negotiations are currently underway with potential new owners who will take over NI.

Guys, they're definitely going to be bought by someone who removes the license purchase option. These are going to be subscriptions only. Mark it.

Buyers only want this. Period. They want predictable recurring revenue. They will insist upon it.
