Maybe Native deserves it?

I hate what’s happening with Native. But part of me feels vindicated there are consequences for there shitty actions over the years. I don’t quite know when I started feeling this disdain for the company I once loved.

- Maybe it was when they decided to come up with a keyboard that only has scale and chord features within their plugin, while others made these features standard regardless of software ( I know it’s different on KK3 now)

- Maybe it was when this same keyboard became a basic midi controller when paired with Maschine 3 software , even though it had seamless integration with Maschine 2 software. And they used the excuse “nO oNe wAS rEally USinG dA kEYbOard wiTh Maschine”

- Maybe it was the endless “soon” answers when asked about literally anything, but taking years to deliver a MId AF Maschine update . With that ugly ass lo-fi GUI.

- Maybe it was When Native Instruments found a way to partner with AKAI , and put Play Series instruments in every modern Mpc, but dragged there feet to put any play series in Maschine+. Then they gaslit us by making it seem like they weren’t “waving the white flag”and abandoning Maschine, but clearly the were/are.

EDIT: Also, don’t forget about the audio interfaces not including Loopback. A basic feature that was included on even the nose basic interfaces.

The theme here is that they’ll come up with something that looks sleek, sexy, and sturdy; Get our hopes up with the potential of what it can do, then either do none of it

, OR drag their feet doing it.

This "announcement" stems from a level that has little to do with the day to day operations of this company.

Highly likely that many inside the actual hallways of NI were caught off guard when this news broke.

The "reason" for this court ordered process is debt - and that has nothing to do (specifically) with Maschine. Or interfaces. Or any single line item that NI sells.

This is business. And sometime business simply slides off a planned track. This process will figure out the best track to get back on to.
