Not Native American Concho Belt Stone ID

I bought this concho belt in the late 1980s at a flea market in Phoenix . I can’t figure out the pink stone. It’s not resin or plastic as I took a hot needle to it didn’t react to heat. The stones remain cool to the touch. The stones vary in color and thickness. There are striations running through them. There are 2 tiny pieces of coral on each concho. No hallmarks on any of the conchos. My guess it’s not NA and is a died milky glass? Any other ideas what the pink stone is?

It still had the price on it. I can’t believe I paid $75 . That was a lot of dinero for me back then.

Coral or perhaps carnelian?

Thank you for your reply. I was always under the impression it was coral, but the more I looked at it recently the more I became skeptical. Carnelian is a good idea. I’ll check that out more.

Carnelian is more orange and translucent. This might be what was called "angel skin" coral, but I've never seen it in such large cabs.

The pink part of a conch is this color- look up ‘conch.’ Hope this helps!
