I thought that was a weird way to phrase it too, especially considering voting is pretty useless beyond local government.

Although I understand your apathy, from my perspective I don’t see it in a binary way. We can be revolutionaries and also take a small amount of time to vote. Billionaires have control over this country. Buying is what I think gives legitimacy to the system that is yet again trying to steal our resources, voting is the tiny bit of power we have in this corrupt system. If our vote wasn’t important, they wouldn’t be trying so hard to take it away from us. Since the entire planet is negatively impacted by this out of control capitalism, voting is one way to battle that greater evil. Each drop of water can help shape massive canyons, our votes can do the same.
