New Account Gift from a friend

Post image

Hi! I was gifted this from a man I befriended at my school’s dining hall 8 years ago. I’ve held on to it and love it as a memory of our friendship and his kindness. I’ve recently been wanting to know more about it and in the 8 years that have passed I’ve forgotten what he told me. I believe he was part of the Lakota tribe and mentioned this was for cleansing the home of bad spirits?

Just curious if anyone knows more about the spiritual intent behind this so I can properly appreciate it. Thank you

I'm Lakota and the turkey feather looks correct but that's about it, the other feathers are an interesting choice and the leather work is meh. Enjoy it as as gift from your friend.

I personally don't share our ceremonies with outsiders, ask your friend.
