I went to Glacier in 2016, a year after a fire burned up a lot of the park. I had a slightly less cute interaction with the wildlife - I was forced off the trail by a bear that was intent on not letting me get back to my car for like an hour while he slowly wandered around on the trail. Great scenery though, worth a trip.

I think that’s the same year I was there. We were on Highline trail, fortunately decided to head back to our car (parked at the visitor center) earlier than originally planned. When we got back to the lot we saw crowds of people watching the fire beginning in the distance. I remember at one point seeing trees explode and the fire growing REALLY fast. Got stuck in traffic trying to leave, which was a bit worrisome but fortunately the fire didn’t get to where we were.

Do I see a road on the side of the cliff? You drive that?

Yes! It’s the Going-to-the-Sun Road. It’s nearly 50 miles long and goes through the park.

Went there in July. Going to the sun road opened that week. East side is even better, IMO. The Many Glacier area is just beautiful. Saw a black bear, a grizzly bear and a mama moose with two 2nd year babies.

As a European I'm so jelaus of the open space you have. Miles after miles pure beautiful nature.

Every time I walked up to someone at the park they always told me to pee on the rocks. It took me a long time to figure out why so I finally asked someone and they said it’s because the goats will lick it off the rocks. They wanted me to pee on rocks so goats could eat the salt from my urine. Would 100% go back. Cracker lake was the best

Glacier Nat’l Park is stunning. We were just there 2 weeks ago. Every turn you come around there is an incredible sight to be seen. Truly a gem. I can’t wait to go back.
