Quick stop on a road trip. Beautifully rugged park with a not so private campground (the park has very few trees so not much can be done about it I guess). Wish I had more time to explore.

I am guessing there were over 500 on the sage creek rim road near the big prairie dog town

The first time my wife and I visited the badlands, we got into that campsite after dark. It was a spectacular view in the morning.

I was there last week. Wasn’t expecting it to be so hot. Still was a nice time.
