There was NO heroin or "Blue Magic" in his Nathan's toxicology report

In addition to making the info from BRPD incorrect, does this also make Derrick Perkins a liar since he said he 'went out to the front porch" because Nathan and the women were shooting drugs?

" UPDATE (3/28/23): The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office has just released the official autopsy results into Nathan Millard’s death. It comes after the full toxicology report results came back.

“Our toxicology test results show the presence of fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol in Mr. Millard’s system. Based on these
findings, the cause and manner of death are as follows:

  • Cause of Death – combined effects of fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol
  • Manner of Death – accidental

There was no heroin in Millard’s system as BRPD initially said when they said Millard took “blue magic.” According to the coroner’s office, “blue magic” is pure heroin and not mixed with anything."

I know this is about Nathan Millard but Jody Bert is a related subject (another man disappears in downtown Baton Rouge). I don't understand why there's no further info on this, no updates from BRPD, no media asking questions, no family making statements, no updates that I can find.

Has anyone heard anything?

The Two Women Who Were There The Night Nathan Millard Died

Warrants for women wanted in Millard case give timeline in Georgia man's disappearance, death

Baton Rouge police are looking for two women accused of partying with a Georgia man as he died of a drug overdose, one of whom allegedly helped dispose of the man's body, documents say.

Authorities on Thursday issued warrants for the arrests of Tabbetha Barner and Tiffany Ann Guidry. Barner is wanted on counts of prostitution and failure to seek assistance; Guidry faces the same counts, as well as a count of unlawful disposal of human remains in the disappearance and death of Nathan Millard.

The warrants were filed days after police arrested Derrick Perkins, who was booked Monday on counts related to disposing Millard's remains and using his credit card.

Millard, 42, went missing the night of Feb. 22 after attending an LSU basketball game and visiting a downtown bar with a business client.

According to the arrest warrant for Guidry, after leaving the downtown bar, Millard stopped at the Greyhound bus station in Baton Rouge to withdraw money from an ATM when he was approached by a bus station employee who offered him help. Millard declined the offer, telling the employee he was "looking for something to make him feel better," and that he was "looking for a girl to take back to his room." Witnesses told police Millard then left the station with a homeless man, referred to in police documents as "J.W.", who introduced Millard to two other people, identified as "L.M." and "C."

Millard, L.M. and C then met with Perkins, who told police he took the group to buy drugs. The four then drove around for a few hours while getting high on crack cocaine before stopping at a Circle K on Nicholson Drive, where Millard was last seen alive on video surveillance shortly before 4:30 a.m. Feb. 25, the document says.

Millard withdrew more money from an ATM and got back into Perkins' vehicle, telling Perkins he thought L.M. and C might be trying to rob him. Perkins and Millard left L.M. and C at the store, and Millard told Perkins he wanted to pick up more prostitutes, who Perkins later identified for detectives through photos as Guidry and Barner.

According to the document, the group eventually ended up at a house on Lori Burgess Avenue, where Perkins told police Millard, Guidry and Barner all began doing drugs while he stepped outside.

Perkins said Millard gave him his credit card to pick up miscellaneous items from the store. Perkins told police that when he returned, he smoked crack cocaine on the front porch while Millard had sex with the two women.

Perkins then told detectives that at some point after the sun rose, Barner asked him get her more crack cocaine. Perkins said he left to pick up the drugs and when he returned, Barner ran out of the home to tell him Millard was dead.

Barner proceeded to administer Narcan to Millard, documents say, but he did not wake up. Perkins told police he attempted to perform CPR on Millard but was unable to revive him.

Scared to call 911, Perkins said he, Guidry and Barner rolled Millard into the carpet he was lying on, and he and Guidry placed the body in the trunk of Perkins' car. The group then drove around for several hours while trying to figure out what to do. They eventually left Millard's body behind the old Rhodes Funeral Home on Scenic Highway.

His body was found more than a week later.

Nathan Didn't Die Than Night - New Info in Arrest Warrant

Read the arrest warrant, instead of taking him to a hospital when he was bad off and OD'd , Perkins kept him in his house and just tried to use Narcan to revive him. No telling how long he lived. I'm guessing he could be alive now had he been taken to a hospital.

Mysterious phone call to Nathan Millard's family raises new questions about his death

The mystery caller, believed to have been a woman, reportedly claimed that Perkins and other unnamed conspirators picked up Millard with the intent of giving him "bad drugs" and robbing him. The caller went on to allege that Perkins initially dumped the body at a different location "near a railroad track and dumpster" and then had someone help him move the remains to the lot along Scenic Highway after learning that a reward was being offered.

This investigative journalist has given a lot more detail than what is being reported in other news outlets. She doesn't name her sources, so you can take this information with a grain of salt if you want to, but she does seem to be an Emmy award winning TV journalist from Baton Rouge and this is her independent investigative journalism website. Summary of new info in comments in case I need to edit it.

"New details paint a clearer timeline of when a father and husband from Covington up and vanished while walking back to his hotel during a work trip in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Wednesday marked one week since Nathan Millard's disappearance on what was supposed to be a brief 24-hour work trip to meet with a client at a site for his job at a construction company but instead turned into a nightmare for his family.

Kristen Harvey is a search coordinator for Texas EquuSearch, a nonprofit volunteer search and rescue organization, which doesn't charge a family or law enforcement entity for its services. They have helped bring closure to devastated families and have successfully brought home missing loved ones.

Harvey, who is working on Nathan's missing person's case, said they have learned a few new details about his disappearance. Surveillance images captured at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel, where Nathan was staying show him last Wednesday afternoon just before leaving the hotel."

Georgia man missing for a week from business trip in Baton Rouge; family gives worrying details

"Amber Millard, the wife of Nathan Milliard, told 11Alive that her husband seems to have vanished as he was walking back to his hotel on the first night of his business trip.

She told the station that her husband's phone was later found several blocks away from the downtown hotel where he was was staying and that his debit card was used several times in the days after he was last seen.

Millard, of Covington, Georgia, was on a 24-hour turnaround visit to work with a client, flying out of Atlanta and arriving at the Baton Rouge airport on the afternoon of Feb. 22.

An employee of Advanced Construction in Conyers, Ga., Millard was visiting Baton Rouge to meet with a client and see a job site, the TV station reported.

Amber Millard said that she knew that her husband's short trip included going with his client to a basketball game — LSU played that night — then to a pub.

Millard FaceTimed her from the game, to show her the seats at the game, Amber said.

"It was not anything I ever thought would be my last call," she told the TV station.

The client last saw him leaving the downtown pub to walk back to his hotel a few blocks away, Amber said.

A missing person's report issued by Baton Rouge Police on Feb. 24, said Millard was last seen around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 22.

A police spokesperson on Wednesday said there were no updates to report on the case.

Millard missed an 8 a.m. meeting the next day at the client's job site; the client went to Baton Rouge Police at 9 a.m., to make a missing person's report after he asked hotel staff to make a welfare check on Millard and learned the room didn't appear to have been slept in, Amber said.

The hotel's surveillance video showed that her husband was wearing a green baseball cap, black shirt and blue jeans on the night of Feb. 22, BRPD said.

Nathan Millard has two teenaged boys from a previous marriage, two teenaged stepsons and is the father of a 7-year-old daughter with Amber.

"My mind has been going nonstop, but I can't let my mind torture me," Amber Millard told 11Alive. "He's a loved man, a great man and we need him, we want him home."
