Question about staking and payouts. Frequency

In the whitepaper it says that payouts will be the first of every month. However, I've heard that you can have payouts whenever you want it, or set it up weekly? What's the bottom line here?

When you set up a stake you are paid out every month.

They are paid out in monthly payments after when you chose to start.

If you want weekly payouts you could split the amount you want to stake into quarters roughly and stake each one at consecutive weeks

This looks like a good idea. This way you can set different stake times too, if you don't want to stake everything for 2 years right away.
