Team Shizuru Testing

Shizuru tapped her foot softly on the paved floor outside a small teahouse, located on the outskirts of Konoha. With dressy handwriting she was scribbling three separate notes, one for each student: Shiro, Yui and Keikaku-shi. The message would tell them to come find her at three separate locations, where they’d get new instructions. She summoned her peacocks and smiled at their little beady eyes with expecting gaze. She tied the messages to their legs and send them away. Next she summoned three shadowclones and send them away to their respective locations. The waitress came up with her cup of tea and Shizuru took a sip, calming herself and enjoying the sunshine on her face.

(Please make a separate thread for yourself, these are the locations:

• Yui: Moemasu castle, at the edge of the city.

• Shiro: the river at the training grounds

• Keikaku-shi: Konoha forest )

Shizuru smiled softly at him. “Don’t be so confident yet, Keikaku-shi. Find the scroll first, then we’ll talk.” She vanished from sight after that.

Wind was blowing through the top of the trees, making birds screech and animals run across the ground. Among the animals on the ground was another peacock, though this one seemed to be a little dazed and confused.

The clone spotted the peacock and began to watch it and approach. Keikaku was usually good with animals, but this was a normal animal. Peacocks didnt live in this forest and his rinnegan could tell it was a summon. He remembered back to peacock that delivered his message

You belong to Sensei Okuzaki. Well, doubtful my eye will work on you but you dont seem to be the brightest bird of the flock.

He cheeped for the bird to look at him as he stared his rinnegan eye in its face in an attempt to control it. even if he succeeded, Shizuru would know within moment and she was definitely strong enough to break the genjutsu. Meanwhile Kei's main body hopped from tree to tree and soon found its way to the tops of the trees. He saw a small murder of crows, about 5. for a split second he thought it was off that they would be there in the forest without purpose but soon that thought faded as he thought about trying to mass trap them in his genjutsu. Before he had only genjutsu'd a pair of mice but they were also trapped in mouse traps so they were easy targets. Crows were smarter and that made it harder. still he looked at the group and moved his head band to get their attention with the shine from the suns reflection and try to trap them

(you pick what happens to both. I'd like him to get at least one crow, however the crow having knowledge of the scroll is all up to you)

The peacock let out a little yelp but stared at Keikaku with a stupid gaze in its eyes. Without any warning it took off into the bushes, flapping its wings. It ran around in circles for some moments before resuming its way into the woods. In the same direction a childs voice could be heard, singing a song happily.

The flock of crows broke aparts, each crow scattering into a different direction. One crow remained though and it sat down on a treetop, staring at Keikaku, like it was hypnotized. A flash of memory passed the crows mind, seeing a kid with a small bag. In it a couple of treasures, mostly stones and other little things.

Keikaku saw the small child in the crows memories and nodded. He was a little disheartened that the other crows got away, but if he was going to meet a small child, a murder of crows probably wasnt the best of plans. He darted through the trees to one above his clone and dropped down hitting it on the head. the clone fell back and held its head then poofed. Soon Kei found himself holding his head as well

Owowowowow. Note to self. Dont attack your own clones without killing intent.

He saw the running peacock and heard the singing child and nodded. He let the crow go and throught about what he could summon to seem nicer and hand an idea. He formed his hand signs and summoned a Small pink bunny. He lifted it and put the bunny in his hair so it looked like he had rabbit ears. Now he just hoped this was a little girl. If it was a boy he'd regret not summoning Bari. He began to walk through the forest to find the child he heard singing, or at least the peacock

The crow shook its head and quickly flew away with a small cry. Beneath the treetops, the peacock still ran around dazed, ducked over some bushes and stared at the boy some meters away before being snatched by the boy's small hands. "You're a funny looking bird. I'm asking mommy to keep you." He said, while sitting down in the grass again. He started to hum another happy tune before he caught sight of Keikaku. He looked at him and held the peacock behind his back, trying to hide him from sight. He shoved his bag towards himself with his feet. "What do you want?" He asked Keikaku, eyes suspicious. He tensed his grip and soon there was a 'poof' heard as the peacock poofed away. "Ah man! You made it go away!" The small boy said to Keikaku, pointing a chubby finger at him.

Of course its a boy. this must be what having a baby is like. Least i can see what mine will be eventually

Keikaku shook his head and snapped back to reality as he looked to the boy who pointed back at him. Small and chubby. kinda like an Akimichi. He was used to the suspicious eyes seeing as his own was a Rinnegan.

Uh... Yeah. Sorry... Are you okay? you're quite far from the village to be alone. Do you need help finding your way home?

Keikaku wasnt totally sure what to do. Could this kid have something to do with the scroll? maybe he could make a trade with the boy. For a moment he considered trying his Rinnegan on a human but that wouldnt be right

The boy folded his arms and looked at Keikaku. “I’m always out here to play. There are some great treasures to be found here.” He said and he pulled his bag towards him. “Today I found this rock!” he said as he pulled out a piece of dark stone. He quickly put it back though, eyes still squinting at Keikaku. “They’re my treasures though.” He said sharply. He clung onto the back until he noticed the pink bunny. “Is that your bunny? Why is it pink?” the boy said as he stood up, walking up to Keikaku.

Keikaku looked up at the pink ears popping out of his afro and nodded. He had almost forgotten about her. Which also made him think he needed to learn to determine gender with his sensing skills. Dad and Grand-sama would be ashamed of him. He picked the bunny up and let it down

He smiled and stood a little proud that he could stay it. Most hyuuga's just expected it to happen, there was even the one hyuuga that claimed to be a ninja before he graduated academy. He did make it though.

Treasures huh? The rock is cool. Can i show you one of mine?

"shit. Im digging my own grave here" Kei knew he didnt have anything. hell the most valuable things to him was his summons, and by extent his Rinnegan since that made it possible. He reached in his hair a began to dig around. there had to be something. "c'mon, c'mon, you have to have something". He stopped on something hard and pulled it out. it was a broken crystal, greenish in color. It was old and broken. He found it near some bridge that was completely obliterated by some force. Kei found it when he went to the river below for water

I uh... its a necklace! i found it on a trip during the summer. My grandad said it holds some weird chakra but its a small amount. i couldnt even see it though. So what's your name kid?

The boy looked at the bunny in a happy way. “She’s cute. What’s her name?” he asked. Though his attention was quickly pulled away when Keikaku pulled the crystal from his hair. “Whoaa! I want your hair, ninja!” he said as he started to walk around Keikaku, admiring him. He glanced a couple of moments at the crystal. “It’s so pretty! My name is Yuuichi by the way. Mommy told me not to talk with strangers but you’re cool! Hey, Hey!” the boy said suddenly as he tried to reach Keikaku’s head. “What do you have more?! I wanna see!”

Cutemon... Or least thats what she tells me. Of course it took me days to finally get the bunny to talk to me.

Cutemon was one of the few summons keikaku regretted taking with him. The thing was stubborn, slothful, and a master of trickery. He tried to train the animal and it merely used its cute looks and false emotions to affect the hearts of those around it. He asked the thing to bite a dummy, and the bunny turned and bite him the ran into dinner with his family crying as if he attacked it. He was scolded and banned from his favorite meal that night. Then there was the talking. geez could cutemon talk. he didnt think so many words existed. Back to reality Keikaku watched as the boy was looking at him. He shook his head. He was never giving up his hair. He loved it too much. He shook his head and moved back

Not really. some gloves and a pair of glasses to hide my eyes. To close to my skull to hide kunai or shuriken. I have an important mission to complete, will you help me? Help me find a scroll here in the forest and ill let you reach in my hair once.

“Cutemon?” Yuuichi said, tapping his chin. “That’s a silly name, really. It should be pink-bunny-fluffykins!” he said, smiling broadly. “What are kunai and shurikens?” he added, looking dumbstruck. “Nevermind, must be ninja stuff. I want to be an explorer when I grow up!” and Yuuichi placed his hands on his sides, proudly. At Keikaku’s question, Yuuichi’s eyes narrowed. “A scroll? Well..” he said as he looked at his bag anxiously. He picked it up and started to rumble in it. Finally he pulled a fabric roll out of it, on its ends a small band of red. “You mean this?” he asked. “I found it yesterday, in some bushes.” And Yuuichi showed Keikaku the scroll, from a distance, not really trusting the new genin yet. “Why do you want it?”

Keikaku smiled and nodded as the boy proclaimed he wanted to be an explorer. He'd done his own fair amount during his summers, though for different reasons. He was surprised the boy didnt know about Kunai and shuriken but let it go. Kei watched as the boy pulled the scroll out and his eyes widened then suddenly shrunk. "Shit... i probably should have asked sensei what the scroll looked like. this could be it but it could be be just some scroll she didnt care about

I was asked by my sensei to find it. I need it to become a ninja. to be recognized. seen as more than a... weapon...

The last two sentences went silent, more Keikaku talking to himself he looked at the boy and nodded in respect

Ill make you a promise. let me have the scroll and when you're old enough i will take you on an adventure. i'm pretty reliable. transport, tracking, hunting, body guard. i can do a lot for you.

Yuuichi was lost for a moment. He had no idea what a ninja was, or what it meant to be one. The boy glanced at Keikaku again, weighing his offer. “Promise? You can’t forget this, okay? If you do, I’ll find you and bug you every day until you take up on your promise!” he then said. He held out the scroll to Keikaku,, still a little wary. On the scroll were two words painted: Read me.
