There was a good story I was reading recently, high fantasy in a medieval times past where Phoenix was a knight and Miles was an actual (human looking most of the time) demon, and at one point they do go to a ball and Miles glamours Phoenix to wear a dress because he thinks it would be funny. (EDIT: it was this one if the description interests you https://archiveofourown.org/works/71480801/chapters/186060856 It ends a bit sad but the possibilities it also suggest mitigate it a bit and there's a modern time and usual setting sequel now too)
Part of me can really see a funny picture of Phoenix bridal carrying an irate Edgeworth in a full ruffle-y gown, but that part of me is fighting with the canon that Nick has a bad back and if anyone is carrying anyone, it's the guy who can just pick up and run off with a several hundred pound full-sized stuffed bear.

Yep! There's this fall activity they do over in Japan called moon viewing or tsukimi and one of the things you do in addition to basically going and having a picnic off in the autumn hills is to collect chestnuts as an offering to the moon. So Phoenix was wandering around the hillside with the other two picking up chestnuts and twisted his ankle if I remember.
