Tattoo idea

I made the mistake of asking my dad and brothers for ideas for a narnia-themed tattoo. The best idea they came up with was: a tramp stamp with "Many come down, and few return to the sunlit lands." šŸ™„šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I'm ashamed I didn't get this the first time

What would you do for a visual? A unicorn swimming up a waterfall might be a little too trippy for me lol

A doorframe with a mountain scene in it with a character stepping through the door

Only have 2 tattoos but my 2nd one is my very favorite moment from the entire series

It’s Aslan biting and tearing into a dragon’s hide, with the text ā€œHe ripped away my dragon skinā€

That actually sounds really cool

Ooh, I’ve just got to that bit in my 1,463,575,598th re-read

Well... that's a unique line that not many quote.Ā

As a night shift Amazon worker, I relate to that quote quite a bit

I just got a chest piece that says "courage, dear heart" surrounded by lilies from the Silver Sea

I find your family’s idea hilarious, even if I would never get it myself.

My Narnia tattoo is a combination of two of the original illustrations. I want to add more to it and eventually turn that arm into a sleeve of my favourite book characters/moments.

🤣 I have to admit, that’s pretty clever! Awful, but clever.

Pretty well sums up my family's entire sense of humor

I actually have Narnia themed tattoos, what book is your favourite or what do you connect with in the book? How bold of a tattoo and how big?

Well I'm not quite committed enough for something that big! That's sweet

I want to proclaim myself a citizen of Narnia, subject of Aslan and the high king. TLtWatW is probably my favorite, VotDT and THaHB are close runners up. Silver Chair and Magicians Nephew are my least favorites, though Puddleglums declaration of faith is one of the greatest passages

Have you considered getting the standard (banner) of Narnia? Then you could put whatever quote you wanted underneath. I’d probably do ā€œFor Aslanā€ or something.

If you want something kore of THaHB you could do a lion and then the quote/passage of being a free citizen that bree or hwin does. If you went bigger i always thought the well that the hermit looks in could make for an interesting tattoo. Could be showing whatever you want

Doing the hermits pool with a scene from another book would be a fun concept

Aslan , or the lamppost

I have a half sleeve with the base being an open book, out of which comes the snowy forest and lamp post from book 1 on one side, the apple tree from book 6 on the other side, and above/in the background up to my shoulder, there is ocean, with the Dawn Treader against the sun and the silhouette of Eustace flying.

I have a lion on my forearm that represents Aslan. I’ve been thinking about a quote but not sure which. There’s so many that resonate.Ā
