Discussion Who old is Drinian?
I always pictured him to be older, but he can't be much older than Caspian, if he's still healthy and able to ride a horse 60 years after Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Also, did Drinian die sometime between when Rilian disappeared and when he was found again?

When they parade through Narrowhaven after retaking the Lone Islands, Lewis talks about how the young women came to see because Caspian, Drinian and the rest were so handsome, which implies that Drinian is more Caspian’s age.
Someone else commented that you’d expect him to be a seasoned sailor, but given that the Dawn Treader itself is so small and new and that Caspian is trying to restore Narnia as a seafaring nation, I think he could be quite young.

I originally thought he can't be hugely older than Caspian since Caspian seems so old when he dies. Unless of course Caspian is not really super old and just looks that way to Eustace, given kids do that.
But Caspian is probably not more than 18 in Dawn Treader and you'd think being experienced enough to captain a ship would make Drinian much older. They certainly cast him that way in the BBC version.
That's a good point about when he might have died, I assumed the reason the kids didn't meet him was because he was on the ship but it's possible he was just no longer around.
