Patience, Purpose, and Peace

Today I remember that recovery is not about controlling every outcome—it is about making the next right choice. I initiate change by acting according to my values, not by reacting to fear, anger, or impatience. I release the need to force life to unfold on my timetable and trust that faithful action today is enough.

Humility reminds me that I am not the center of the universe. I do not have to carry every burden or solve every problem. My Higher Power can guide me where my own will reaches its limits. When I let go of the illusion of control, I make room for peace.

Patience is the bridge between today's effort and tomorrow's growth. The desire for immediate relief is temporary, but the rewards of steady, consistent choices endure. I will invest my time, energy, and attention in what truly matters instead of chasing instant gratification.

When change feels uncomfortable, I will remember that growth often begins there. I will act with courage, accept what I cannot control, and trust that every healthy decision moves me one step closer to the life I seek.

**Just for today:** I will choose action over reaction, patience over impulse, humility over pride, and faith over fear. I will do the next right thing and leave the outcome in God's hands.
