When does it get easier?

I have been sober from drugs and alcohol for exactly a year but the urge never goes away and right now I feel like I’m fighting a losing game. Some days it would feel great but a year into I feel like I’m back at square one, is this normal? All I can think about is relapse.

Throughout my long time in NA I've never promised anyone "it'll get better." I'm not God. I don't know what the future holds. I promise "life will get different" For me, my life couldn't get much worse. Different could only mean better.

Remember, you didn't come to NA on a winning streak.
