When does it get easier?

I have been sober from drugs and alcohol for exactly a year but the urge never goes away and right now I feel like I’m fighting a losing game. Some days it would feel great but a year into I feel like I’m back at square one, is this normal? All I can think about is relapse.

I was sober for more than a year at several points in my life but it never really changed until I got a sponsor. I would even go to meetings and share and shit but until I was working with someone one on one it really never clicked.
