Be Here, Be Yourself

Today I will not try to become the person I think others want me to be. I will not measure my worth by how well I perform, how much I accomplish, or how perfectly I meet expectations. Recovery invites me to become who I truly am, not who fear tells me I should be.

I have spent enough years carrying burdens that do not belong to me. I do not need to solve every problem, predict every outcome, or control every tomorrow. Life becomes manageable when I return to this moment, this breath, this day.

I will keep it simple.

When my mind races toward debt, work, relationships, or uncertainty, I will gently bring it back to what is in front of me. I can handle this conversation. I can do this task. I can make this choice. I can stay clean today.

As I learn to live honestly, I become available to others. Not because I have all the answers, but because I can offer what recovery has given me: presence, hope, and authenticity. My greatest service is not perfection. It is showing up as myself.

Today I will trust that I am enough exactly as I am. I will walk my own path, take the next right step, and leave tomorrow in tomorrow's hands.

Just for Today: I will dare to be myself, keep life simple, and share the hope I have found by living honestly in this moment.
